Now that the dust has settled after our sold out and successful Steam Train and Wine Festival, we at Boucheron Wines would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for making this event an absolute success.
The response we had has been overwhelming and our awesome team are already planning the next one. So keep your eyes and ears peeled for more info.
Our festival was held on the 8th of August at the Magaliesburg Train Station located in the midst of the rural backdrop of Magaliesburg.
Patrons had to brace the cold and had to be at Park Station by 8h30am to board the train which departed at 9h00am. All the kids received a goodie bag and there were also complimentary tea and coffee on the train... but it seemed as though wine was more the order of the morning... but that is ok right?... since it was already 12h00pm somewhere in the world!!!
The train ride was a different, fun adventure for all aboard and the rustling hills, beautiful mountains and the whistling of the steam train made for an unforgettable experience.
The train arrived at the Magaliesburg Train station just after 11h00am and that was when the
drinking... sorry ...the fun began. The event took place outdoors to allow those that attended to spread out and enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape.
All those who attended received a wine glass and a free bottle of our wine to enjoy(No, not the kids). People were welcomed to an array of boutique wines, where they even had the opportunity to meet some of the wine makers. We had artisanal food stalls, "Steelwool"- the Mechanical bull entertained the adults and kids too, jumping castles and a live band, so all you had to do was kick back, drink, eat and enjoy!
The train departed to Park Station at 15h00 and we have to say that there were many people who did not want the afternoon to end (neither did we), but alas all good things must come to an end but stay tuned and we will let you know we will be rolling with the Good Wine again.. oops I meant good times again!!!
